Reel trial in Tasmanian salmon industry
Thursday, 19 September, 2013
The ReCoila product is being tested for refuelling purposes by salmon fishing company Tassal at two of its 11 ports dotted around Tasmania.
Positioned on custom-built skids for refuelling the salmon fishing vessels, the solution is based on ReCoila’s T-Series hose reels to suit 60 m of 1″ hose.
The trials are going well, and if successful, similar solutions will be customised and manufactured for the other nine stations around the state.
Models in the T Series reels used in this trial fuel station project are of heavy gauge metal construction. In general, T-Series is available in power, hand and spring rewind and is customisable for many requirements such as transfer of fuels and lubricants, general fluid handling, large truck servicing, watering, high-volume compressed air, food transfer and firefighter services.
All items in the range are fabricated from welded, heavy-gauge steel plate and are made in carbon steel, stainless steel 304 and 316 or aluminium.
