Workshops on diesel emissions in mines
In response to the recent reclassification of diesel engine exhaust as carcinogenic to humans by the World Health Organization, the NSW Trade & Investment will be holding free workshops for the NSW mining industry to provide information and guidance for establishing control strategies.
The workshops will also provide a forum for industry to ask questions and receive advice from a panel of experts.
There will be two free workshops held, with one focusing on coal and the other on metalliferous mining.
The coal workshop will be held on Tuesday 26 February 2013 at Sydney Olympic Park.
The metalliferous workshop will be held on Thursday 28 February 2013 at Dubbo.
Further information and a registration form is available from the events page on the department’s website.
