WorkSafe Vic Top Tradie Cup 2013
Tradies across the state are limbering up to fight for bragging rights - and weekly prizes - in a football competition with a difference.
Kicking off on Monday 15 April 2013, WorkSafe’s Top Tradie Cup is designed specifically for workers and supervisors in the construction industry.
The cup, which was inspired by the high number of serious injuries on construction, aims to tackle the issue head-on by prompting tradies to get talking about safety on site while testing their footy knowledge.
Teams of tradies are encouraged to sign up to test their knowledge of safety and football through an online quiz, specially developed for smartphones and available on computers.
The competition fixture will run for six weeks and teams will compete for weekly prizes as well as a major grand prize package.
Teams will be able to create their own footy strip and move up and down the footy field as they score goals and points based on correct and incorrect answers. They will be able to track their progress on the competition’s leaderboard and pit themselves against their tradie mates or fellow construction businesses.
To be eligible for prizes, entrants must have a construction induction card (or equivalent) and work in construction in Victoria.
To register for the Top Tradie Cup, visit the website from Thursday 14 February 2013.
