Wall collapse under investigation

Wednesday, 03 April, 2013

Tragically, three people died after the collapse of a wall at a construction site on Swanston Street in the Melbourne suburb of Carlton last week.

It was reported no construction work was being carried out on the site and the collapse of the 3 m heritage-protected brick wall at the old Carlton & United Breweries site could have resulted from strong gusty winds on the day. WorkSafe investigators are undertaking a full investigation into this tragedy.
