Safety in Action now in Darwin
Safety In Action has announced it will be running a regional show every four years in Darwin. The expansion has been made possible by a strong working community in Darwin, which requires its own safety education event.
Tony Francis, Exhibition Director of Safety in Action Australia-wide, says: “... we’ve received support from the Northern Territory government and NT Worksafe to go ahead and launch a Safety in Action event in 2014.”
Informa Exhibitions Australia (formerly AEC) has listened to visitor and exhibitor feedback regarding the safety shows and taken it on board, making some changes to both naming and scheduling of the events. Moving forward, all shows across Australia will be known as Safety In Action.
One major three-day show will run in September each year, alternating between Sydney and Melbourne. The Queensland and WA safety shows in Perth and Brisbane, now two-day shows, will be held in June and April across alternating years. The newly added two-day show in Darwin, set to commence in March 2014, is planned to be held every four years.
The next Informa event is The Safety Show Sydney at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from 3-5 September 2013, and the calendar for 2013-2015 is as follows:
3-5 September 2013: The Safety Show Sydney Sydney Showground, Olympic Park
19-20 March 2014: Safety In Action Darwin Darwin Convention Centre
11-12 June 2014: Safety in Action Perth Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre
