OHS Safety Awards announced for WH&S Show
The Champions of Safety Awards were recently launched by the Workplace Health & Safety Show.
This new initiative will recognise the brightest stars and most inspiring professionals in the occupational health and safety industry.
“This is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond in making Australia’s workplaces safer for everyone,” said Stephen Blackie, Portfolio Manager, Workplace Health & Safety Show. “Whether you're a trailblazer, a rising star, or an icon in your field, this is your moment to be celebrated.”
The Champions of Safety Awards will feature three categories:
- Rising Star: for those who are making waves early in their careers.
- Pioneer: for the innovators who are redefining safety standards.
- Icon: for the leaders who have dedicated their lives to protecting others.
“The Champions of Safety Awards go beyond simple recognition. They serve as a platform for the OHS sector to share inspiring stories and career journeys, and to showcase diverse opportunities in the industry, to attract the next generation of leaders,” Blackie said.
Finalists will be announced on 1 October 2024 and the three winners will be crowned at the Sydney Workplace Health & Safety Show, on 23 October 2024 at the Sydney Showground.
More information about the show is available at whsshow.com.au.
