NZ Men's Health Week: 8-14 June 2015
Kiwi men are being encouraged to get proactive about improving their health and well-being in the lead-up to the New Zealand Men’s Health Week, on during 8-14 June.
This year the campaign will promote awareness around testicular cancer and the difference diet can make to not only improve men’s health but their overall feeling of wellbeing. Testicular cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in men aged 18-39 years and yet the most curable, if found early.
Men are invited to find out their health scores by completing an online survey at www.menshealthweek.co.nz. Appealing to men’s general competitive spirit, they are being called to challenge their mates to do the same to compete for the best score.
Men’s Health Week organisers said a big step towards improving men’s health and wellbeing is removing the barriers that deter men from seeking professional help early. Kiwi men can visit their local Life or Unichem pharmacy during the entire month of June to get a free Men’s Health Pit Stop Check.
In Australia, Men’s Health Week will be on during 15-21 June 2015. For further information on any of the events or activities scheduled for the week-long campaigns, visit: menshealthweek.co.nz or menshealthweek.org.au.
