Darwin welcomes a one-stop shop for all things safety

Safety in Action Darwin is being held from 19-20 March at The Darwin Convention Centre.

The two-day event will mark Safety in Action’s first time in Darwin, featuring a comprehensive range of the latest safety-related products and services from across Australia. Over 75 exhibitors will be showcasing their latest goods and attendees will also be able to attend an extensive program of free industry seminars.

Safe Work Australia will be hosting a one-off, free training session on the popular subject ‘The globally harmonised system of classification and labelling of chemicals’. This session will provide attendees with the knowledge they need to know with regards to the new labelling classification of chemicals.

Safety management software company myosh will also present a seminar session supported by NT WorkSafe. myosh Managing Director Adrian Manessis will lead the seminar, offering a breakdown of what safety management software is and how it can best be used within an organisation.

Manufacturers exhibiting at the show include: Arbon Equipment, Vigil Anti Slip (Prism) and Materials Handling - displaying its A-Safe Polymer Safety Barriers, manufactured from Memaplex with built-in memory and bounce-back technology.

Starting from 2014, all shows across Australia will be known as Safety in Action. One major three-day show will run in September each year, alternating between Sydney and Melbourne. Shows in Perth and Brisbane will be held in June and April across alternating years and the newly added two-day show in Darwin commencing in March 2014 is planned to be held every four years.
