Businesses urged to promote National Safe Work Month
The chair of Safe Work Australia has urged business leaders to get involved with National Safe Work Month.
In a video message, Diane Smith-Gander discusses the importance of leaders setting an example to embed a positive safety culture in the workplace.
“It can only be a great workplace if it’s a safe workplace,” said Smith-Gander.
“If you have a business or you manage a business, whether small or large, take a step back, consider how you are impacting safety.
“I encourage you to set an action plan, both for yourself and your team, to promote safety in October.”
National Safe Work Month is a reminder to business leaders at all levels about the crucial role they play in promoting and supporting safe and healthy workplaces.
Safe Work Australia has developed a range of resources, including a free virtual seminar series and promotional materials to help businesses promote work health and safety during October.
