Annual Safe Work Australia Awards announced
The winners of the sixth annual Safe Work Australia awards were recently announced at Parliament House in Canberra. 38 finalists from across Australia, covering a range of industries, competed for this year’s awards. The finalists of each of the four national award categories have been recognised as winners in the state, territory, Seacare or Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission (SRCC) awards held last year.

Category 4 - Best Individual Contribution to Workplace Health and Safety
This award recognises individuals who have made an exceptional difference to health and safety. Two awards are given under the following subcategories: (a) An employee, such as a health and safety representative, (b) An outstanding contribution by an OHS manager or a person with responsibility for OHS as part of their duties.
