Kemppi has entered the welding helmet market with a product range combining high levels of safety with design specifications to aid productivity gains for its operator.

The BETA range of welding helmets for arc welding, carbon arc gouging and plasma cutting protect the welder's head, face, eyes and ears while providing high levels of comfort.

The BETA range covers two standard welding helmets and three autodarkening helmets with LCD filter. All models have a compactness allowing an operator to move his or her head into positions in tight working spaces most helmets cannot accommodate.

With an LCD viewing lens bigger than the international requirements for such features, an operator finds there is less need to lower his or her head during the weld procedure.

This is especially the case in situations requiring the operator to look down close to the body as the viewing lens is in an optimum position. Several safety aspects provide the user with high levels of protection against flying spatter and radiatal arc burn.

A spatter rim ensures any weld spatter that hits the helmet runs down a peripheral rim and away to safety, rather than onto the operator. A throat protection feature safeguards against ray burns from arc. BETA helmets all have CE certification.

By including a flip-front facility, it is possible to open the welding lens to allow precise weld preparations or grinding (Impact test rating EN175B) even in poorly lit conditions.

BETA auto darkening helmets are provided with auto darkening filter lenses. The lens turns dark immediately when the arc is on giving optimum safety for the welder and returns to standard mode for perfect visibility of a work piece when arc is cut off. In a dark state, BETA gives full protection while in the light state (arc off) it gives good visibility to the work piece.
