Insect light traps

Monday, 21 May, 2007 | Supplied by: Rentokil Pest Control

A range of insect light traps has been designed to trap insects rather than 'zap' them to avoid contamination and cross-infection risks through insect fallout and airborne particles produced by high-voltage electrocution.

The Cobra unit utilises translucent UV dispersing technology to spread light from all sides to attract insects. This substantial model is suitable for commercial areas, such as food production and processing, and has a total of 45 UV lights.

The Vector Plasma is the brightest unit, with 72 W 'pulling power'.

Vector Discrete has a contemporary look designed to fit discretely into public areas, with 26 W of ultraviolet light.
