Mitsubishi Electric has announced the availability of four security surveillance products with the release of its digital video recorder (DVR) range - the DX-NT400E, DX-TL950E, DX-TL2500E and DX-TL5000E.

The range of DVRs is designed to deliver high quality digital video recording. Each product provides high-resolution recording, versatile monitoring and recording functions, network connectivity, ease of use and most importantly, reliability - crucial when used as indisputable evidence. The operating system is embedded in the hardware in case of hard drive failure. This allows faulty hard drives to be easily identified, replaced in the field and keeps equipment down time to an absolute minimum.

Some of the features of the range include 16-channel inputs with feed throughoutputs, 200 PPS recording rate, high-resolution JPEG2000 compression, real-time triplex monitoring, advanced mirror recording capability, reliable hardware-embedded operating system, immunity from virus attacks, advanced search functions - date/time or event-based, bookmark recording, individual camera recording settings, independent alarm/normal recording settings, advanced alarm recording, advanced motion detection functions, remote set-up and monitoring via LAN or RS-232C, GUI-based set-up via USB mouse, in-built DVD burner and cascades up to 16 DVR units, controlling 256 cameras.
