Leading consulting firm, Sinclair Knight Merz, has appointed Michael Walsh as its Group Safety Manager.
Walsh has been involved in managing safety at a corporate level for 18 years, including several years in local government, as well as in the manufacturing, mining and construction industries.
His recent track record with companies such as Thiess, Roche Mining and Walter Construction Group has seen these companies move from average performers to widely recognised, award winning, best practice OH&S companies.
At Sinclair Knight Merz, he will reinforce the Group's position as a best practice performer in its local and global safety operations across all industry sectors.
Walsh was one of the first safety professionals in Australia to gain a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety, and received a Winston Churchill Fellowship in 1997.
