Hydraulic safety valve wins award
Monday, 16 January, 2006
The Fluidsentry monitored hydraulic "˜HB series' safety valve systems recently won the "˜Best Risk Solution' in the 2005 Victorian WorkSafe awards.
The systems provide a safety interface between electrical safety control and dangerous hydraulic loads.
When machine guard access is required, the patented technology of the HB series safety valve systems ensure the machine always defaults to a safe mode. If a fault is detected, further machine operation is prevented. This prevents operator entrapment due to an unintended machine movement and ensures safety standards compliance.
Applications include operator safety for presses, press brakes, guillotines, automated fixtures, palletising equipment, packaging machinery, pushers and ejectors, automated cells and guard access preconditions.
The HB series carry third-party certification to European and Australian safety standards and are complemented by Fluidsentry's range of monitored pneumatic safety valves and safety pressure monitors.
