Fire and security group launches Australian operation

An Indian fire protection and security group has expanded its operations into the Asia-Pacific region by launching its business in Melbourne.
FirePro Systems' Australian headquarters was officially launched at the Victorian Investment Centre by Victoria's Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Tim Holding.
Firepro founder and managing director, N S Narendra said the Melbourne office is the first step in expanding the business throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific.
Firepro specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of fire safety, electronic security and building management systems.
"With the assistance of Invest Victoria, Firepro will set about its task of becoming a market leader in Australia," Narendra said. "Our aim is to expand across multiple Australian locations within three years and to have established offices across other Asia-Pacific markets within five years."
The company specialises in fire and safety solutions for the ICT sector. Its list of clients includes multinationals such as Microsoft, Oracle, Motorola, Lucent and Intel. In Australia, the company will target both the government and corporate sectors.
