Peace Engineering Sound Barriers acoustic wall

Thursday, 13 May, 2010 | Supplied by: Peace Engineering Pty Ltd

Peace Engineering has designed and fabricated the Sound Barriers lightweight acoustic wall that can be flat packed and erected quickly and easily.

Concrete road barriers are the base, which provide not only strength but also contribute to sound absorption performance. The acoustic panels then slide on top of the concrete barriers to create an acoustic wall up to 3 m high acting as an absorption and transmission barrier. They provide effective noise reduction for an entire site in applications where large acoustic enclosures are not feasible.

The panels can be installed anywhere in any configuration and are suitable for when construction or public works are occurring close to houses. The barriers can be painted externally and also act as a security wall to help keep out intruders.

The flexible, robust and durable walls are a suitable alternative to custom-made acoustic solutions.
