Auto-darkening welding helmet

Saturday, 11 October, 2008 | Supplied by: Welding Industries of Australia

The Miller Elite auto-darkening helmet series utilises digital lens technology enabling operators to precisely adjust shade, sensitivity and delay settings. Four modes of operation provide the flexibility to weld, cut and grind all with one helmet, plus the X-Mode feature allows the lens to start working when it senses weld current, making it suitable for outdoor or low-amperage TIG arcs (5 A and below) and DC inverter TIG, eliminating sunlight interference and obstructed sensors.

The helmet also features: ratchet-style adjustable headgear with odour-absorbing headband, four independent arc sensors providing continuous arc-sensing capability, (replaceable) battery powered with solar-assist for long life and magnifying lens holder.

The helmet is supplied with extra cover lenses, helmet bag and comfort cushion.
