Ansell Polar Bear blade cut-resistant glove

Thursday, 20 May, 2010 | Supplied by: Ansell

Ansell’s Polar Bear glove is made from an engineered-yarn core and a high-strength outer wrap that provides protection from cuts, while the extended anti-shrink cuff gives added comfort for shift-long productivity. The glove is designed for the hand protection of workers in meat and poultry processing, food service industries, meat packing and in refrigerated areas such as chillers and marshalling areas.

Designed for either primary protection or used as a liner under another glove, it offers dexterity with light-duty cut protection. This results in a cut-resistant glove that is claimed to be more cost-effective than chain mesh designs.

Benefits for productivity include a seamless construction to avoid hand irritation, a liner for extra comfort, launderability and a reversible design so it can be worn on either hand.

Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service Meat Notice 94/44 approved for use in post final carcass inspection in temperature-controlled areas such as boning rooms, all glove components conform to the US Food and Drug Administration indirect food additive regulations.

The glove is suitable for freehand applications such as cleaning deli-slicers and cutting food, as well as in seafood processing plants and for hygienic and protective handling of fruit and vegetables.
