The Sundström SR570 protective face shield with breathing air, available from Safety Equipment Australia, is a face shield for use with either Sundström’s Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or with supplied air.

The design comprises a rugged, lightweight head-top with a flip-up visor and a quick-release secure connector to breathing air by means of a super-flex hose.

The SR570 face shield provides head, face and eye protection as well as clean and safe breathing air. The helmet material is made to withstand tough conditions and is fitted with attachments for hearing protectors.

Other attachments include a bump-cap that provides additional head protection, as well as a clip-on cape around the neck for extra protection from splashes.

The scratch-resistant polycarbonate visor is easy to replace and can be covered with peel-off visor film to keep the field of vision clear of spray and airborne dirt. The visor offers protection against high-speed object impact and molten metal and is chemical resistant.

The interior of the face shield features airflow channels that can be angled for demisting the visor. The ergonomically designed head harness is adjustable for best fit.
