ATG MaxiFlex glove with AD-APT anti-perspirant technology
ATG has released the MaxiFlex Ultimate glove with AD-APT (All Day Anti-Perspirant Technology), designed to keep gloved hands dry, cool and productive.
ATG says 97% of glove wearers claim that comfort is their number one priority when choosing gloves with the key challenge being sweaty hands. This is because the skin, the largest organ of our body, regulates its temperature through perspiration (thermoregulation), and our hands contain 83% more sweat glands per square centimetre than the rest of our body.
The aluminium-free glove uses AIRtech technology in the construction of the coating, a network of structured tunnels that ensures good air quality and temperature within the glove. This technology has been further enhanced through the inclusion of the AD-APT technology, which uses microcapsules integrated into the glove liner. These are activated when the skin temperature rises, releasing a natural anti-perspirant (essential oils) designed to regulate perspiration to help keep the glove wearer's hands dry and cool.
The active ingredients within the technology dissolve in the sweat or moisture on the hand surface. The dissolved substance forms a gel that creates a small, temporary 'plug' near the top of the sweat gland to reduce the amount of sweat secreted to the skin surface of the hand.
77% of blind trial participants noticed less sweating and 93% noticed the cooling effect of the Ad-Apt technology.
