Safety Factors Critical to Warehouse Workers

Warehouses can be dangerous and hazardous places to work in. Storage areas in any warehouse and manufacturing environment are usually high-density work areas with a number of potential hazards. Therefore taking the correct precautions to ensure safety within the warehouse is crucial to the health and safety of workers.

The recent release of the Augmented Reality (AR) Supply Chain, Warehouse & Distribution Guide to Workplace Safety by Pro-Visual Publishing in partnership with Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA), The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI), provides workers with up-to-date and relevant safety information with the aim of reducing workplace fatality and deaths.

The main topics on this Guide includes:

  • Chain of Responsibility
  • Traffic Management
  • Developing a Safety Management System
  • Load Management & Pallet Racking Compliance
  • Drugs & Alcohol Policy

The AR element of this year’s Guide adds a dynamic and interactive experience for workers. By simply downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app, users can scan over any AR capable content to view further safety resources straight to their smart device.
