Live cable reels

The Hannay cable reels are a series of industrial-duty, long-lasting spring rewind reels for live electric cable to power tools, lights, machinery and generator lines. The quick and convenient spring rewind saves time and the heavy-duty steel construction of the reels stands up to demanding field use.

The SCR/NSCR700 series and SCR-10-17-19 both feature heavy-duty spring rewind motors and declutching arbors to prevent damage from reverse winding. A non-sparking ratchet assembly ensures that the cable can be locked in place when the desired length has been payed out; a pull on the cable unlocks the reel and the spring motor retracts the cable.

The SCR/NSCR Series contains an external motor with three-conductor, 45 A 600 V collector assembly with #8 gauge wiring and double brushes per circuit, made of copper graphite with copper alloy rings. A four-way roller assembly comes as standard, with additional conductors or higher amperage available on request.

Cables with large bending radii are used with the SCR series reel, whereas the narrow frame and mounting base of the NSCR series is suitable for compact applications.

The SCR10-17-19 reel is compact in size and features a self-contained spring motor with three-conductor, 30 A that is housed inside the drum.

Both the SCR/NSCR700 Series and the SCR10-17-19 can be mounted anywhere and are equipped with four-way roller assemblies as standard.
