Friction cups

The Duraflex friction cups provide high levels of grip on oily and wet surfaces to help manufacturers, typically in the automotive and whitegoods sectors, improve production speed and eliminate bottlenecks.

The cups’ grip pattern enable operators to safely and reliably move slippery metal goods without slowing production lines.

The cups feature a rough cleat surface and sharp cleat edges and channels to create greater friction and a stronger hold compared to traditional traction suction cups. Normal cup abrasion resulting from handling oily sheets does not degrade the shear-force performance of the cups over time.

The cups maintain their hold on heavy and slippery sheets during accelerations and deaccelerations, especially in the instance of emergency stoppages.

Made of Duraflex polyurethane, the cups will not break or crack after exposure to ultraviolet light, heat or ozone - an issue with cups comprised of rubber compounds.

Several models are available, including the BFF, suitable for handling concave and convex surfaces and the FCF that offers increased stability to handle larger metal sheets.
