Barrier Neata queue management system

Tuesday, 16 March, 2010 | Supplied by: Barrier Group

The Barrier Neata queue management system is suitable for wherever people are expected to queue or congregate such as airports, banks and public events. The system can reduce the safety, liability and logistical issues associated with conventional post and base units by replacing the bulky freestanding base with a stainless steel in-ground sleeve and coupling arrangement.

The elimination of bases is claimed to give an increase in usable floor space of up to 30%. The posts have an in-built impact-absorbing feature which allows them to tilt by up to 10° and return to their original position without incurring damage.

The stainless steel queue management system locks into the floor and is tamper resistant but can be easily removed or relocated as required. It has a footprint of 65 mm in diameter and weighs 3.2 kg.

The system is available in three post configurations - retractable belt, rope and ferrule - or as plain posts. All have the same features and build quality. They are simple to install, requiring a floor penetration of only 35 mm in diameter by 60 mm deep, which means they rarely interfere with reinforcing materials in the slab.
