The Euchner Non Contact Safety Solenoid Switch CET has a sturdy die-cast housing, allowing it to function effortlessly in harsh environments. It features guard locking, lock monitoring and integrated transponder coding.

The switch is suitable for use on heavy doors, providing high protection against tampering and a large freedom of movement. It has no need for precise door adjustment, requires minimal wiring, provides IP67 protection and is suitable for situations requiring high levels of safety.

Closing the safety guard (hinged door or sliding door) releases the spring-loaded transponder in the actuator, which inserts into the cavity of the safety switch. A read head detects the locked position and the CES evaluation system then enables the safety circuit.

When the moving machine parts come to a standstill, a solenoid activates by safe standstill monitor or by a timer relay. The plunger of the magnet then raises the spring-loaded transponder, which allows the safety guard to be opened.

Maintenance is only possible when the safety guard is closed and locked. The safety guard cannot open when the machine is running.

For the control system, this means the starting demands which cause hazardous situations must become active only when the safety guard is in protective position and the guard locking is in ‘locked’ position.
