Safety limit switch

The 440P series of Allen-Bradley Guardmaster safety limit switches comprises 14 models and features a 2 m pre-terminated side- or bottom-entry cable, and a rugged, compact, 22 mm metal housing.

The series also features a broad choice of operator configurations, such as dome, roller or cross-roller plunger and short-roller lever. Each member of the series is equipped with positively driven contacts, making them suitable for both safety and standard switching applications.

The switches are versatile from both functional and installation perspectives. When ganged together to provide two normally closed circuits, or used in conjunction with a safety PLC, the switches can accommodate safety applications up to SIL3 and Cat4. Alternatively, the switches can be used in isolation for standard switching applications.

The pre-terminated cable, compact industry-standard housing construction and slotted mounting holes permit simple and quick installation, especially in hard-to-access areas, while reducing wiring requirements and installation time. Additionally, some of the switches are available with a threaded panel-mount configuration.

An IP67 enclosure rating ensures the switches are built to withstand arduous operating environments.
