Omron STI safety products

Omron’s STI safety products can be used to keep workers safe around machine tools, automated machinery and robots in factories producing products such as automobiles and electronics, safety light curtains, interlocks, relays, mats, safety edges and sensors.

Protection solutions are available for operations within stamping, casting, welding, painting, packaging or robotics.

More than 100 machine and process safety products are available, with the majority compliant with CE, DIN, CSA, IEC, EN and UL, ANSI and OSHA.

Products include: hydraulic press brake guarding; safety interlock switches; perimeter access guarding; safety monitoring relays; safety light curtains; two-hand control; safety contact strips and edges; enabling switches; safety mats and area guarding; and safety integration services.

Safety light curtains provide a safety zone around hazardous production machinery - when an opaque object such as a hand or work piece interrupts at least one transmitted infrared beam defining the guard zone, the light curtain controller sends a ‘stop’ signal to the protected machinery.
