Emergency Alert Systems WiLAS (Wireless Alert Siren) System
The WiLAS (Wireless Alert Siren) System from Emergency Alert Systems (EAS), a business unit of Inventis Technology, is claimed to be the first wirelessly networked and wirelessly activated, scalable, multitone alert siren system. It overcomes the prospective problem where users, with only seconds to sound an evacuation (or other) alarm, are not able to get to the siren control panel, or the site power has been cut.
The sirens are activated by security-coded handheld remote control from anywhere within a worksite, require no inter-siren control cables and can even operate without mains power.
From 1 to 100 siren nodes (or more) can be installed anywhere on a worksite and, once installed, automatically connect to the wireless network. In an emergency, a user selects the desired alert tone (EVAC, Lockdown or All Clear are standard) on their remote control and within seconds all sirens are activated.
Suitable for any site where access to mains power is problematic, or sites where sirens need to be relocated, the system is less expensive than hard-wired siren or PA systems. The Emergency Services-grade sirens deliver good intra- and inter-building penetration and a typical system can be installed within a day.
