Worker fatally struck by front-end loader

WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the death of a worker at a Broadmeadows recycling centre on 19 July 2024. The 26-year-old man died after he was struck by an articulated front-end loader while it was moving recycled goods.

The death is the 24th confirmed workplace fatality for 2024. There were 47 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
