Sick Scanner Plus! S300 Mini, S300 and S3000 safety laser scanners
Sick has added the S300 Mini, S300 and S3000 product families to the Scanner Plus! range of safety laser scanners. S300 and S300 Mini safety laser scanners feature easy integration due to their compact design with a protective field range of up to 3 m. The S3000 safety laser scanner offers a maximum protective field range of 7 m, said to be a first for a safety certified scanner.
The S3000 allows areas of over 80 m2 to be protected with just one device. With mobile applications, the wide scanning range allows high speeds to be achieved as the scanner scans far enough in advance to initiate braking in good time in the event of danger.
Refined functions ensure that employees are protected and the manufacturing process is not affected. The monitored area can be adjusted during operation with the field set switchover. Therefore, machine and transport processes essentially run continuously and only stop when absolutely necessary. The Sim-4-Safety function enables up to four protective fields to be monitored and evaluated at the same time, without the need for protective field switchover.
In industries such as automobile or intralogistics, users can network safety laser scanners together. Central configuration and diagnostics, a reduction in the amount of wiring required and an increased function range all provide benefits to the user during commissioning and operation of the system. For example, a complete 360° all-round protection of autonomous vehicles or automated guided systems is possible. The S3000 PROFINET IO allows direct integration of safety components into common fieldbus systems.
