Safety anchor

SALA has created an ultra-portable fall arrest Vacuum Anchor System especially for the needs of contractors and maintenance crews. Originally designed for the airline industry, the vacuum anchor has broader applications for heavy industry such as refineries and mineral processing plants.

The vacuum anchor system provides maximum worker mobility on-site for temporary or quick-turnaround jobs where permanent or even temporary anchorage systems would be impractical, too costly or time-consuming to install. It is suitable for applications where there is a clean, non-porous surface to attach the vacuum anchor.

Complete with a carry handle, the system comprises a technology vacuum pump that is powered by a compressed air cylinder, meaning no special power source is required, and a durable pad. Once activated the pad anchors into place with no damage to the surface or structure. The product is rated as intrinsically safe for most applications.

Installation is performed by plugging the system in and turning two levers, one to activate the unit and another to initiate the pad. The system features both audio and visual alarms to let the user know the system is safe to hook-off to.
