Roofing installer anchor

Friday, 07 August, 2009 | Supplied by: SafetyLink Pty Ltd

TileLink is an anchor system for tile and slate roof installers that combines energy-absorbing capabilities with a profile that is practically invisible when looking at the roof.

The design emulates the FrogLinks energy-absorbing regions, allowing it, in the event of a fall, to reduce the impact on the structure and person attached to the anchor.

The 316 stainless steel anchor is fixed to a rafter using 12-gauge, 50 mm roofing screws. Five alternate fixing rows enable the anchor to be positioned to suit the pattern of the roof tile. The unit fits snugly between the existing tile, eliminating waterproofing issues.

The anchor is tested and manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.4 and is rated as a two-person anchor.
