Access Safety Services Transport Access System

The Transport Access System allows safe and efficient access to many vehicles used in road and rail sectors.

The system can be supplied as modular units for others to install, or as a turnkey project. Fabricated in house, each unit is supplied with the relevant engineering documentation, maintenance and installation specification.

The systems are available in both single- and double-sided configurations and, when servicing the top of trucks and rail transport, eliminate the risk of a fall.

The system is claimed to qualify with Victorian OHS Levels 1 and 2 categories as a solid construction and a passive fall-prevention device.

Benefits of the system include: time saving; no annual inspection costs to harnesses and fall-arrest equipment; safer than conventional fall-protection systems; complies with Worksafe hierarchy of control; can be adapted to suit any location or situation; height, width, stair location and range of motion can be customised; pneumatic or hydraulic operation; suits available power sources on individual sites; and single-operator operation (fall-arrest systems require two people).
