CI Agent spill cleaner is a polymer technology developed to provide an environmentally friendly solution for prevention, clean-up and disposal of all hydrocarbon spills on land and water.
The product transforms all liquid hydrocarbons into a cohesive rubber-like mass. It is claimed to be non-hazardous, non-corrosive and non-carcinogenic. It is also hydrophobic, so it cannot retain water.
The cleaning agent is designed to neither leach the hydrocarbons nor revert back to its original form. It can be disposed of in normal landfill or recycled for other uses. It is claimed to suppress volatile vapours by up to 80%.
Suitable applications include mines, maritime, power stations, substations, transformers, machinery, military, workshops, shipping, offshore oil industries and storm water drains.
