Industry expert receives QTA Safety Award

Peter Thompson from Kagan Logistics has received the 2007 Queensland Trucking Association Industry Safety Award, presented by the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA).

Thompson has been involved in the road, rail and warehousing sectors of the supply chain and logistics industry for 35 years, most recently as an active member of the Transport and Storage Sector Standing Committee for the Workplace Health & Safety Board.

He is the past president of the QTA, a current director of the Sea Freight Council of Qld, a committee member of the SCLAA and is on the committee for the Queensland Supply Chain & Logistics Conference. Peter continues to work closely with industry and government to promote a strong workplace health and safety culture in road transport.
