Low-cost PAT with free reporting software
The TRIO-LCB portable appliance tester is now supplied with free Inspect reporting software. This combination offers a low-cost solution for compliance to AS/NZ3760.
To confirm the safety of earthed appliances (Class 1), double-insulated appliances (Class 2) and extension cords, the TRIO-LCB checks polarity, insulation resistance and earth continuity (for Class 1). For appliances where power is required to energise the on/off switch, a leakage current test maybe performed.
Four dual-colour LEDs indicate 'pass' or 'fail'. Measured values and test results are displayed on a large LCD and continuity is checked to ensure the appliance is turned on.
Other features of the TRIO-LCB include: selectable insulation test voltage (250 or 500 V), calibration function for protective earth resistance test, and mains voltage measurement.
Inspect reporting software records and reports on the test results of portable electrical appliances tested for compliance to Australian Standard (AS/NZS 3670). Inspect prints test agendas, test results and exception reports, item lists, locations due reports and disposal notices.
Inspect allows multiple users with their own password and level of access, multiple companies with different sites and locations, and network access while maintaining one set of data. Inspect software is intuitive, versatile and can be used with any manufacturer's appliance tester.
