The FLIR IR infrared inspection window is designed to help users avoid arc flash risk when performing IR and visual inspections of live components. The window has been tested by independent authorities to international safety standards and meets end application safety requirements for medium- and high-voltage switchgear (above 600 V). It also meets UL, KEMA and TUV standards and ratings.
Opening electrical cabinets to perform IR and visual inspections of live components is dangerous work, exposing technicians to the risk of a hazardous arc flash incident. The FLIR IR window device is placed between the technician and the energised equipment which eliminates the need for opening enclosures. Compatible with most thermal cameras, the device allows users to perform inspections efficiently, reduce the risk of arc flash injury and stay within compliance regulations.
Easy to use and install with common conduit connections, the unit features a secure, permanently hinged cover that opens easily with one hand. FLIR’s broadband crystal lens is encased in a rugged, anodised aluminium frame which allows indoor and outdoor scans. The lens allows cameras to capture visible light pictures as well as thermal images. It also allows LED and laser illumination to pass straight through for clearer visual assessments.
The FLIR IR Windows can be combined with a FLIR thermal camera that features integrated visible light video, lamps and a laser pointer.
