Workplace drug and alcohol training course offer

Pathtech is offering new customers for a limited time a nationally recognised and accredited training course for free on purchase of 100 Securetec DrugWipes before 30 June 2016. Conducted by the Drug and Alcohol Testing Institute, this one-day course will provide students with nationally recognised and accredited skills.

The course has been created in consultation with leading drug testing professionals and collectors. Students will learn the skills necessary to successfully implement and conduct an in-house workplace testing regime in line with Australian and New Zealand Standards (AS3547:1997, AS4760:2006, AS/NZS4308:2008).

Drug and Alcohol Testing Institute is a registered training organisation (national provider number: 31988). The institute specialises in delivering accredited short courses in workplace drug and alcohol testing to individuals and a variety of industries and businesses, both large and small, across Australia.

The 30977QLD Course in Workplace Drug Testing (breath alcohol) (urine) (oral fluid-saliva) has three elective units: specialising in breath alcohol, urine or saliva drug testing (or all three of these areas).

Course objectives include: hands-on breath alcohol, urine and saliva drug testing; each participant allocated with testing equipment for learning; familiarity of Australian standards, legislation and regulations; rationale and industry requirements of a Substance Abuse Policy; impacts, effects and symptoms of drugs and alcohol; roles, rights and responsibilities of collectors and employees; planning, preparation and procedures for sample collection; and privacy issues and risk assessment including safety and PPE.
