Safety experts join forces for premium media brand alliance

Friday, 11 November, 2016

The premier safety industry body and premier workplace health & safety media brand in Australia have teamed forces to create a powerful new information and marketing channel for the local business and industrial safety community.

Westwick-Farrow Media (Safety Solutions) has this week signed a four-year deal to publish the iconic and longstanding industry-leading magazine National Safety, and the Safe-T-Bulletin eNewsletter, for the NSCA Foundation.

From March 2017, Safety Solutions magazine will cease publishing, with all the content and resources from this brand channelled over to the new and improved National Safety magazine, which will include an industry-first total distribution of over 8,000 printed copies per issue (combined NSCA Foundation members and Safety Solutions magazine subscribers).

“This is an excellent opportunity for two industry leaders to come together for the benefit of all involved in the growing health and safety community,” said Geoff Hird, Publisher at Westwick-Farrow Media. “We look forward to developing new and innovative products and services to help promote and grow the sector.”

Jamie Burrage, General Manager at NSCA Foundation, added: “We’re proud to collaborate with a publisher that has a track record of communicating quality information. Our safety community will continue to receive industry-leading communications and, from 2017, can choose the format by which they receive National Safety. It’s an exciting time as we head towards our 90th year of protecting Australian workplaces.”

The new media alliance will kick off in February with a new NSCA Foundation ‘zone’ added to the www.SafetySolutions.net.au website and the launch of the Safe-T-Bulletin newsletter. The March edition of National Safety (powered by Safety Solutions) magazine will be available in both print and digital format.

The NSCA Foundation media brands will be edited by longstanding Safety Solutions senior editor Carolyn Jackson, who brings a wealth of industry experience to the alliance.
