Emergency communications system

The Alerts emergency response telephone system requires just one phone call to connect to an emergency team automatically, regardless of where they are. The system has been designed for the needs of industries in flood-prone areas such as mines, quarries, forestry, agricultural and construction.

First-responders use a PIN number to initiate the system, which dials the team phone numbers stored in it. When answered, individual team members are automatically put into a conference call or sent a voice pager message.

If the call is not answered, the system automatically dials the next number for that member of the team and extra participants can be brought into the conference as needed.

Once initial rescue decisions have been made, a secondary voice message is relayed to all the members of secondary teams to inform them of the likely chain of events and to prepare appropriately.

The system is designed for emergency situations that need to connect people and requires mobilisation of a response team.
