Trolleys that stop on inclines

Friday, 07 August, 2009 | Supplied by: Warequip Pty Ltd

The Prestar NF301HB and NF307HB hand brake platform trolleys are designed to ‘fail safe’ when not in use, making them a safe way to handle goods on inclines or other situations where trolleys are subject to move.

Typical applications for the trolleys include environments with pedestrian ramps when trolleys may be left unattended, such as hospitals, nursing homes, airports and shopping centres.

A wheel brake is connected to a lever on the handle that must be depressed for the trolley to move. Squeezing the handle releases the brake. Letting go of the handle activates the brake causing the trolley to stop.

The models are sold as complete trolleys and the hand brake cannot be retrofitted to standard trolleys.
